ANNOUNCEMENTS

Our first tournament of the 2006-2007 season will be August 25 - 26 at Plano Senior.  All varsity team members are required to compete in two events.  No one will be allowed to do both poetry and prose.  If you choose to not debate, you may choose from either prose OR poetry and extemp OR oratory.

Everyone will need to make sure that they have at least one suit for this year's season.  A copy of the Rowlett Tournament Dress Code will be in the Team Handbook which you will each receive at the team meeting.

Finally, we will need to have a team meeting during the week of 8/14.  It will have to be after 3:00 p.m.  I am asking that everyone please email me with their preferred dates for meeting and I will post the results.  Your options are Monday, Tuesday, or Saturday.  I have a strong preference for Tuesday, but I want to give everyone an opportunity to select a date to ensure full team attendance.  In case you no longer have it, my email address is omspikes@garlandisd.net.
